 SRI SARALA MAISAMMA TEMPLE

          Sarala Maisamma Temple is located in deep mid of Rachakonda Forest in Yadadri Bhongir district, Choutuppal Mandal, Allapur Village, which is 70 Kilometres from Hyderabad on Vijayawada highway. There are two routes available from Hyderabad, first one is from Toopranpet village and another from Koyyalagudem village both are on Vijayawada high way. You will have to travel 5 Kilometres in forest to reach this place.

          Sri Sarala Maisamma temple is famous for Goddess Maisamma in the Rachakonda forest, per locals there is a story available which is linked to King of Nizam and his soldiers. Per them, one of the Nizam's battalions of  used stay near by this place in the forest where daily needs like food and water used to supply them nearby village which is called Pahad. It is believed that, the battalion ignored Sri Maisamma Goddess and never prayed her and nothing offered.In results of this, Goddess was angry and to punish the battalion, she created a mysterious tornado there. Because of this, entire battalion was in trouble and they suddenly disappeared. Later, higher officials of Nizam's administration came here for rescue operation in search of their soldiers, mysteriously they could hear the voices of their solders but they cannot see them. Later, on the advise of local shepherds, Nizam's king came  here to offer Bonalu and other things, then entire battalion came back.
        Every year in the month of May here temple working committee conducts Goddess Kalyana Mahotsavam which attracts several people in the season. This newly built temple is amazing and well crafted. They built this temple from devotees donations and temple committee chairman Mr Artha Venkat Reddy donation which is 3 Crores INR. Roads are not yet developed with Thar but they will be completed in the near future. Animal oblations are not allowed in the new temple but it is allowed and performed near to old temple.
This place is very quite and enrich with green fields, ponds, agriculture fields and hills. You can spot peacocks, monkey's around this temple. And there are no mobile networks available here hence you can spend quality of time here within nature.

          Usually on holidays you would see most of people come here from surrounding villages from Nalgonda, Rangareddy districts and Hyderabad. It is observed that people prepare food near by places. And few locals run here cooking shops and they prepare rotis, rice, non veg and charge it.
It is a very good tourism place for people who are spiritual and likes nature.
